MacCN runs on a Dual G5 Xserve connected via Dedicated 10M DSL. There are no transfer rate caps, unlimited download slots at the server level, no permanent account holders, and nearly half a Terabyte of storage. This means no waiting in line and bandwidth to spare. Consequently, transfer rates of over 50K/s are not uncommon for MacCN account holders. The server is always up with both the LAN and server on backup power to circumvent a power failure (does this really matter to you?). All of these files ARE tested. We get them from reliable sources. We do not have time to explain/teach you how to use them. If a file is missing a SN or [k] ,if you are certain a file is corrupt, please let us know. We have been having some complaints about corrupt files on the user's end. It must have something to do with the inter transfer. |
